What Twitter clients are most popular among EasyPeasy users?

Social network aggregation clients have become increasingly popular among netbooks users, and there is a variety of clients to choose among. Using Facebook and Twitter, we have asked the EasyPeasy community for what Twitter clients they prefer. The results, showed in the diagram, is merely an overview of what Twitter clients use and is not limited to EasPeasy.

EasyPeasy Twitter clients usage

According to EasyPeasy users Tweetdeck (23,3 %) was the most popular, followed by open source Gwibber (16,7 %). Some three percentages reported Gnome Do as their favorite client. This is interesting as Gnome Do primarily is an application launcher with a built in Twitter feature.  As you can see from the diagram, the “Others” group makes a pretty big share. These are the Twitter clients that counted less than two votes. In total users reported 23 different clients.

What are your preferences using social network aggregation features with EasyPeasy and netbook operating systems?

We're now on YouTube – we're giving away a unique EasyPeasy 1.6 Plug'n'Play memory card!

We’re finally on YouTube. We will work to get some nice flicks out there, but hope and encourage your help. Please keep reading ;)

We’ve giving away a unique EasyPeasy 1.6 Plug’n'Play memory card to the winner.

What is a EasyPeasy PnP memory card

It’s a 4 GB SD which plugins into most (all?) netbooks without any adapor. It comes pre installed with our next release: EasyPeasy 1.6. It’s not a usual “LiveCD” of EasyPeasy, it’s a full fledged installed version which means you can keep your files there and boot up a full EasyPeasy version on any computer.

The rules

The rules are simple.

  • Create some kind of film and upload it to YouTube. The film can be any way you want (film, voice with pictures, etc.), but I guess we will get a lot of screencasts..
  • When it’s live, post the link to use here, on Twitter, Facebook or wherever (not really wherever – it has to be to us)
  • We will favorite and rate it. Anyone else can rate it as well, and the best rated video wins!
  • The deadline for uploading is Friday 19th (February..)

Good luck!

What are your thoughts on competitions like these? Are they stupid or is it good to encourage creativity this way? Please share your thoughts in the comments

EasyPeasy for iPad Operating System?

Steve Jobs took a jab a the netbook. I didn’t like that. But I can’t stop thinking that the iPad would be an awesome device to run the EasyPeasy OS on. Where the iPhone OS doesn’t support memory cards and other USB devices, we will be able to bring a full fledged but lightweight operating system for the iPad.

Can’t wait to get my hands on one.
