Hello,
Unable to install software using Synaptic Package Manager or Terminal Scripts I had created. All of the software I'd normally find in regular Ubuntu, Xubuntu, or Linux Mint does not seem to exist in Synaptic, packages are not found at all

Examples: Zim, chmsee, Referencer, Alexandria, Tellico, Planner, grsync, Kompozer, hell...even MPlayer!!

What gives? Is EasyPeasy 1.5 crippleware?

The fix is:

In a terminal do:

Code:

sudo rm -r /var/lib/apt/lists

Code:

sudo mkdir -p /var/lib/apt/lists/partial

Code:

sudo aptitude clean

Code:

sudo aptitude update

Code:

sudo aptitude full-upgrade

It worked for me!

Thanks, it seems that worked

Although I had already fixed, not sure how...but I did change the Download From server in the Repositories from United States to Main Server....after that I was able to find all missing packages

But your fix also seems to work.......so thank you!!
