Update: Translated into 27 languages by the Ubuntu Eee community!

Waiting for Ubuntu Eee 8.04.1 to be released? Got some spare time and want to contribute?

Here’s a guide on how to translate the Netbook Remix interface which Ubuntu Eee uses into your language.

  1. Go to Launchpad. If you’re a member, log in. If you’re not, register.
  2. In the sidebar at the right, it says: Your languages. Click “Select Languages
  3. Select your language and you should arrive back at the URL in step one. But this time your language is listed. If there’s any red in the progress bar (untranslated), go ahead and click your language and start translating.

Thanks for contributing your time!

Just registered :D, but translation to Spanish has been done by other user :P. At night, when I arrive at home, I will do translations for Basque and Esperanto.

Well, I have started doing some basque translations :D

Basque is almost completed. Now I will finally try to finish at night. I speak Basque at home but I don’t use computers in Basque so some specific words are difficult to me. As for Esperanto, I will try to use the Kubuntu or KDE Esperanto translation.

Esperanto will wait for a near future :D, but yes, thanks also to you for your work. Now my EEE is waiting for more, and now I can only use with the limits of the RC1 release, but I don’t care :)

It’s great to see how actually the community works.
